​Our Accomodation

The accommodation we provide is designed to make our residents feel comfortable in their surroundings. We actively encourage residents to decorate their room with their own belongings to promote a sense of familiarity. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and most have en-suite toilet facilities. As well as large private areas, the home has a large lounge and conservatory where residents can relax or meet with visitors. At the rear of the house, there is a large landscaped garden where residents can sit or enjoy a spot of gardening and outdoor activities.

​Our Cuisine

Our catering staff provide a traditional and varied menu of delicious home-cooked meals. All specific dietary requirements and nutritional needs of residents are catered for.

The cuisine at Homstead is all locally sourced and freshly prepared each day. Our chef provides a varied and balanced menu and happily caters for special diets and preferences, where requested. Fresh fruit and vegetables from our local suppliers are offered daily. Residents can choose to enjoy the social aspect of meal times by taking their meals in our comfortable dining room or in the privacy of their own rooms, if they so choose.

​Our Respite Care

Here at Homestead we provide short Respite Care service. Respite Care is the provision of short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home.

The reality is that there are times when even the most loving and dedicated of carers need a break. There can be any number of reasons for this; perhaps the carer is themselves unwell or has to be elsewhere, or maybe they are taking a well deserved holiday? This is where we can help. Homestead has dedicated rooms offering 24-hour care for those requiring this temporary residential service.

Respite care at our home is also an excellent way of familiarising service user with our surrounding and people, so if/when a permanent move into residential care becomes necessary, they already feel at home with us.
