Life With Us

The staff at Homestead are trained to treat residents with the utmost respect, and to help them preserve their dignity at all times. Individuality is catered for privacy, self esteem and as near to a normal home life as possible. The residents are encouraged to be responsible for themselves, but with a careful watch for any assistance needed.

Our experienced staff are expected to devote the highest standards of care to each resident with a focus on fulfilling the residents’ wellbeing, physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. All our long stay residents are placed on the Electoral Register. If physically unable to vote at polling stations, they will be given the opportunity to vote by post.

Visitors will be welcomed at all times during the day.

Activities

At Homestead, we firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind. As such, we have an Activities Co-Ordinator on the team, whose role is to run mild exercises and programmes of pastimes to stimulate both body and mind.

The home has its own hair salon where residents can spend some time being pampered by one of our regular hairdressers, or if they prefer, the residents own hairdresser or beautician can use the facilities by prior arrangement.
