Philosophy of Care

Greville House works under a philosophy of care that dictates that all residents shall live in a safe and comfortable environment, where they are treated with respect and equality, irrespective of their needs and backgrounds and in an environment of trust and familiarity.

We believe it’s extremely important to promote independence and understand that all of our residents should be treated as individuals so every person living with us has a plan of care designed around their requirements and preferences, granting them choice in all aspects of their daily routine. We also welcome regular visits from family and friends.

To ensure that our high standard of care is maintained, an independent quality assurance system is in place.

Activities

At Greville House we firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind. As such, we have an Activities Co-Ordinator on the team, whose role is to run mild exercises and programmes of pastimes to stimulate both body and mind.

The home has its own hair salon where residents can spend some time being pampered by one of our regular hairdressers, or if they prefer, the residents own hairdresser or beautician can use the facilities by prior arrangement.
